No matter how old you are, there’s nothing like having a place where you feel accepted and supported; a safe, comfortable spot to stretch out, settle in, and enjoy being part of a community that cares about helping you grow.
That’s exactly the kind of supportive environment you’ll find in our youth and teen groups, open to Peak Wellness Center clients from age 3 to age 18.
With topics ranging from emotional regulation to socialization, mindfulness to self esteem, our groups create a space for elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and high schoolers to connect with others their age, explore new challenges, and grow.

Peak Wellness Center groups for elementary schoolers (ages 5-13)
Children as young as 3 are welcome to be part of this group! Through narrative play, drama therapy and zones of regulation, group members will learn prosocial skills (such as caring, helping, sharing and volunteering), then put them in action to develop interpersonal skills, reduce anger and anxiety, and improve communication.
Structured for children in 2nd through 6th grade, this group travels through the “Zones of Regulation” to teach emotion regulation skills. We’ll spend the first 8 weeks teaching solid Emotion Regulation from the curriculum, and the final 10 weeks teaching from the mindfulness perspective, incorporating the Zones of Regulation based on mindfulness practices.
Designed for ages 5-13, this combination socialization/recreational group helps adolescents develop and fine-tune their social skills. Participants will engage in a wide variety of activities throughout the community to encourage teamwork, form relationships, and develop healthy coping skills in stressful social situations. In addition to social skills, participants will cultivate the communication skills necessary to form more long-lasting relationships with their peers.
Perpetual Movement (Parents and Children)
Following The Organizational Skills training manual, this group educates parents and their children on the effects of ADHD.
A group for kids who have never been in groups before! Through a series of fun activities and games, participants will learn how to behave in group settings.
Peak Wellness Center groups for middle school and high schoolers (ages 12-18)
Designed for adolescents who struggle to manage painful emotions and currently cope using “unhealthy” means, participants will learn how to apply four skill sets (mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness) to decrease vulnerability to their emotions, improve self-awareness, and improve relationships with others.
Adolescent Women’s Empowerment
This group is for adolescent females (12-18) to discuss self esteem, self compassion, healthy relationships, social media, and common struggles adolescent girls are facing, all with the goal of empowering them to become strong, independent women in today’s society.
