Psychiatric Care

Advanced, individualized psychiatric care for a healthier mind/body

We have decades of experience in advanced psychiatric care for adults, teens and children, and our psychiatrists stay current on the latest research and the most effective treatments and approaches.

We first talk with you to understand what’s going on in your life, body and mind. Then we come up with a treatment plan that works for you and your unique situation. It might include counseling; medications; skill building; help at home, at work or at school; developing stronger relationships; meditation; dietary changes—we really look at the big picture.

Psychiatry for mental health

No matter what you’re facing—depression, anxiety, addictions, ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, memory loss or something else overwhelming or frustrating—we can help you.

We view diagnosis as a tool, not a label. And we will always see you, first and foremost, as a unique and important person. We genuinely care and want to make life easier for you.

Psychiatry for substance abuse

To help make recovery from an addiction easier, Peak’s highly experienced on-staff psychiatrists can, when appropriate, prescribe medications to reduce cravings during treatment. Our psychiatrists can also diagnose and treat any mental health problems that may accompany or contribute to substance abuse.

Children’s psychiatric care

As part of Peak’s Youth & Family Services, we have a specialized team for child psychiatry, including one of Wyoming’s finest child psychiatrists, fully licensed and with in-depth knowledge of the biological, psychological, and social factors unique to children.

Pharmacy services

Supporting our advanced psychiatric services, we have a full-service pharmacy on site at Peak in Cheyenne that also offers convenient delivery by mail of many medications. Our pharmacists provide careful oversight of our medication treatment plans, which is especially important for people with complex medical conditions taking multiple medications.

Getting started

Once you have enrolled as a Peak client, ask your therapist if psychiatric services are right for you.
