Taking action to help someone in extreme need
To ensure people receive needed care for their health and well-being, Peak Wellness Center provides many kinds of intervention and intervention support.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us, even if you feel worried but don’t know what to do about a situation. We can help you decide on the best plan of action and make sure you have all the support and resources you need for the best possible outcome.
Medical interventions involve steps taken during a planned course of treatment to prevent a condition from becoming worse. At Peak, these are integral to our mental health services and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs.
In medical interventions, physicians can offer medication assistance to address mental health needs or cravings for addictive substances, and counselors can take action with relapse prevention measures.
Mental health interventions
A mental health intervention involves acting to protect someone with a serious mental health condition or illness, especially when the person may pose a threat to himself/herself or others.
Peak’s licensed and experienced psychiatrists, counselors, clinical social workers and case managers, working in conjunction with our social services partners and law enforcement as needed, can help ensure the best possible short- and long-term outcomes for people urgently needing help for mental illness or disorders.
