Karl Cline joins Peak Wellness Center
Following the retirement in July of Dr. David Birney, Peak’s executive director since 1990, Karl Cline has joined our team to lead our mental health and wellness services in southeastern Wyoming. He has 25 years of experience in the mental health industry, as a provider, educator and administrator. His degrees include an Master’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Business Administration and Bachelor’s in Education.
Prior to joining Peak, Karl served as the director for northeastern Colorado for Access Behavioral Care at Colorado Access in Aurora, Colorado, overseeing the $45 million Medicaid contract for the region.
An opening message from Karl Cline
I am privileged to follow a leader such as Dr. Birney in this serious and meaningful work that we do, and I am moved by the welcoming nature of the Peak team and our community.
As healthcare, insurance coverage and policy continue to change rapidly in our country, it’s a challenging yet exciting time to be part of a large, well-established mental health care organization providing such a wide range of services to people of all ages and walks of life.
The healthcare community as a whole has worked hard over many years to reduce the stigma associated with mental health challenges, and Peak Wellness Center is now in a position to help even more people live happier, healthier lives and become their best selves.
In beginning my work at Peak, it has been beautiful to see how helping our Wyoming friends and neighbors through difficult life circumstances both unites and motivates the whole Peak team, my new colleagues.
I look forward to the coming years of the Peak journey. Everyone wins when we do what we do best: serve the mental health and wellness needs of our communities.
