Help for a Friend

Your caring can make all the difference

If you have a friend or colleague showing signs of mental health problems, struggling with addiction or grieving the loss of a loved one, it’s often hard to know the best way to help.

Learning about the many services and resources available through Peak Wellness Center and our community partners is a great place to start.

The caring team at Peak offers the most comprehensive mental health and wellness services available in southeastern Wyoming as well as proven substance abuse treatment programs and support for families.

A 2007 survey by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention found
“Only 25% of adults with mental health symptoms believed that people are caring and sympathetic to persons with mental illness.”

The fact that you care really matters.

The best ways to help might be different, depending on what’s going on with your friend, whether the change has been gradual or sudden, and how significantly it’s affecting both of your lives. So please don’t hesitate to call us if you have questions.

We have over 50 years of experience helping people of all ages in our community handle tough life challenges and become stronger, healthier and happier in the process.

High-quality care that’s affordable for anyone in our community

We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance, plus we have a sliding fee scale based on income and insurance status, to make sure everyone can afford the care they need.

Crisis help and suicide prevention

If you believe your friend poses an immediate risk to himself/herself or another person, please immediately call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
